November 1 - 3 | Union Pier, Michigan

I am with you.

This fall, join me as a small group of women building consulting practices within the insurance industry gather - nestled in the woods, away from the noise - for the first Bound & Determined℠ Founders' Retreat.

Through intentional conversation and honest connection in a soul-affirming space, you'll find room to plot and plan and question and answer.

To think out loud alongside women who get it - and who are building right there with you.

You are meant for this work and you are on your way.

Off we go. 💚

This women’s retreat was a gentle exhale - a space where beauty met intention. The setting itself was the perfect mix: serene, inviting, and thoughtfully curated to nurture rest. But what truly made it unforgettable were the women who gathered - each one bringing grace, vulnerability, and strength to the circle. I left feeling lighter, more grounded, and deeply grateful. The conversations, the quiet moments, the laughter - they reminded me of the power of connection and the importance of carving out time to restore. My advice to others: If you ever get the chance to attend, take it. Your spirit will thank you.

Have we met?

Hi, I’m your retreat host, Meg McKeen. I’ve experienced firsthand the power of women in community - and the beautiful ability we have to get to the heart of it all, quickly - and I love being part of sharing our stories.

Now in my 26th year working in the insurance industry, 8 years ago, feeling a too-big-to-ignore misalignment between who I was and how I was showing up in the industry, I spent a year daydreaming about a career that had nothing to do with insurance. Knowing my work here wasn’t yet done, the following year, I started the consulting firm I now work in, with the simple, yet very complicated, belief that we could do s0 much more - and better - to support the people who are shaping their own careers here. Especially women.

I have finally, albeit reluctantly (!), accepted that my gift to the world is creating spaces for women in our industry to connect and share, support and grow, together. A retreat experience has been on my heart for a long, long time, and I hope to share this experience with you, too.

The fine print

Your retreat investment includes:

  • 2 nights accommodation at The Garden Grove Inn

  • All meals during our time together, plus a variety of snacks, water, coffee & tea

  • All programming + activities, including any necessary materials*

  • 4 virtual connection calls with Meg and other retreat attendees to keep the momentum we create together going; these will be scheduled in 2027 and dates will be shared following the retreat

* If either is your thing, we’ll have a private yoga session or gym access for a lifting session; this is not included in the retreat fee and will be paid separately

Note a $200 deposit holds your reservation. The balance, which varies by room, is due the week prior to the retreat and will be invoiced separately. Click through to view the various options, and pricing, available.

What others have to say

Refreshed, energized, supported, validated, and waaaay less anxious.
— A prior guest, on how she felt after a Bound & Determined℠ Retreat
Validation. It’s always something we are all seeking and I think having that from others is encouraging to keep going. People around you to say it’s ok to feel the way you do.
— A past Bound & Determined℠ Retreat guest, on the most memorable part of this experience for her
I felt comfort in knowing none of us have clarity on next steps. There is power in our transparency and inspiration in coming together for support.

Qs + As

  • Why not you? This experience was created for a woman in insurance who has bet on herself - and is growing a coaching or consulting business either full-time or to supplement her full-time corporate job. You understand this isn’t a traditional path and crave support and connection with other women who just get it.

  • Please contact me as soon as you know you won’t be able to join us. Note for cancellations within 30 days of the retreat start, your $200 deposit is not refundable.

  • I totally understand. If the weather is such that we cannot gather safely, the retreat will be cancelled and any funds you’ve paid towards the retreat reservation will either be returned to you or applied to a future retreat (your choice). Any additional travel expenses cannot be reimbursed.

  • While it’s possible you may know another woman who’s attending the retreat, I encourage you to make plans solo, and come with an open mind and heart to creating new relationships. If the idea of arriving alone is tripping you up, reach out to me and we’ll talk through it together.
